We read with interest the article by Whittaker et al [1]. We believe that the research question is of importance both in light of delayed treatment during the COVID-19 pandemic and in light of recent results where preoperative lifestyle changes only seem to be effective when performed for at least six weeks [2, 3]. However, we have some questions regarding the methodology and conclusions from the study.
